The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is set to provide $787 billion in stimulus funds to:
- Preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery;
- Assist those most affected by the recession;
- Provide investments needed to increase economic efficiency by spurring
technological advances in science and health;
- Invest in transportation, environmental protection, and other infrastructure that
will provide long-term economic benefits; and
- Stabilize state and local government budgets in order to minimize and avoid
counterproductive state and local tax increases and reductions in essential services.
Along with these funds comes “. . . unprecedented accountability and transparency requirements.”
Since there are many sources of these funds through several Federal agencies, there will be different monitoring and reporting requirements. How will you keep track of them and provide timely and necessary reports?
An easy to use MS Access database, customized to your needs, can be your organization’s best bet in tracking ARRA funds. With a database you can:
- Create compliant reports that can easily be uploaded to your website.
- Track funds from any source with all unique reporting and use requirements.
- Provide vendors, contractors, and employees checklists to ensure compliance.
- Track job creation statistics, DBE contracts, and budget goals.
